Hey, everybody.
I haven’t fully moved to TRNC yet. My status is in the process. Therefore, I dare not describe life in TRNC. I will write my brief review of my first trip.
So, where it all started. I’ve always wanted to go somewhere. Somewhere where there is civilization. Away from this Soviet Union. I worked out many different options, but it so happened that I stopped at TRNC. One day, a letter u201cHow to move to live abroadu201d with the subject u201cLet’s get acquaintedu201d came to my mailbox. Actually, that’s where it all started. At first I just read, then, after a long time, I started to study the website of the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP). I continued to read the newsletter. Noticed that there was a thirst for more and more letters. Letter number 22, u201cSafe Country,u201d was the deciding letter.
To be honest, at first, every letter had a clear answer in my head u201cOKAY!u201d and nothing more. Then, came the realization that I would not be the only one in the Russian Quarter, that there is a u201cselectionu201d. First you have to go through an interview (the most difficult stage for me, because I am not very good at communicating with people). It turns out that people whose views on life correlate move here. These thoughts made me more serious about moving to the Russian Quarter in TRNC.
Today I am no longer under the impressions of my first trip. I have seen and felt a lot of things that I learned from the letters. Today the difference between life in modern Russia and in the TRNC is even clearer.
I would like to thank Ilya Shestakov, Yulia Pogosova, Olga Shestakova, Valeria Boronetskaya and everyone else I met at TRNC for their help. You are the best!
