Marat and Svetlana

Hello everyone and many years of happy life!!!
We are: Marat, Svetlana, Timur and Emilia. And we used to live in Northern Kazakhstan, in the city of Kostanay.
We would like to write with gratitude about the people who helped our family move to Cyprus, to this wonderful sunny island.

In September 2017, I, Marat, learned from friends about the Program for Assistance to Resettlement in Northern Cyprus. And in November, my wife and I were already on a viewing tour. The organizer of this program, Ilya Vladimirovich Shestakov, entrusted Olga (his wife) to accompany us.

The flight was long and we were quite tired. Our plane arrived when it was already dark. At the airport, we were met by a delegation of Olya and Daria. We were brought to Kyrenia, settled in a three-room apartment with a huge terrace and picturesque views, and left to rest.
The apartment where we were accommodated had everything ready for our arrival: hot water, clean bedding, food in the refrigerator, and a huge plate with the freshest tangerines on the table.

In the next few days, in addition to exploring the microdistrict complexes, we went on excursions to Kyrenia, the Kyrenia Byzantine Castle, the Belapais Abbey, and the ancient city of Salamis. Writing about our vivid impressions would be a mediocre effort, and I doubt I will be able to convey our emotions. I will just say that everything was just super!

Everything was organized by Olya. With her help, we chose a place to live, hired a lawyer, and reserved an apartment for ourselves, after which we had to fly to Kazakhstan to finish the rest of our business. Having finished all our business before the New Year, we packed our bags and flew to Cyprus on January 10, 2018, this time with our children. And again Olya met us and brought us to the apartment that we had reserved on our first visit. After a couple of days of rest, we went to sign a contract with the builder and draw up documents for the apartment. The mission of “Assistance” did not end there. They went with us to all the authorities, helped us get a residence permit (and this, I tell you, takes a lot of time – the bank, the police, the clinic, the laboratory, the clinic again, and finally, here it is – the long-awaited residence permit), arrange for our daughter to go to a municipal school, our son to go to a lyceum (also not without trips to the Ministry of Education). And this is not counting small everyday issues like – where to buy an iron and dishes, how to find a store in Famagusta that sells school uniforms, etc. 😉

In general, as they wrote in the mailing lists, this is true, we were convinced of this personally. And all this help was free of charge, which we greatly surprise others, telling our story. I sincerely thank the Program for Assistance to the Resettlement of Compatriots, especially Olga. You are so great! All the best to you! Good health and great happiness!!!
