Hello!
My name is Fania. In August 2019, my husband Nikolai, nephew Evgeniy, and I visited Northern Cyprus under the “Program for Assistance to the Resettlement of Compatriots in the North Cyprus”. We live in Kazakhstan, in the Karaganda region. I would like to share my impressions of this trip.
Many years ago, an advertisement appeared on the Internet, through which I subscribed to Ilya Shestakov’s author’s mailing list about Northern Cyprus. In his mailing list, the author talked about moving and living with his family in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. This was completely unusual for me, since the majority of people then left for Canada or Europe. And here is the island of Cyprus, about which I knew practically nothing. I read each letter as a fascinating detective story, an adventure, and with each letter I realized that I also needed to go there, to an unknown country.
This became my dream, to which I moved in tiny steps. And in August 2019, my family and I flew to Ercan Airport, where Olga met us. Olya became our guide, friend, advisor for all 10 days of our stay on this wonderful island.
It was a VIP tour. Every morning Olga came to pick us up, and we went on interesting excursions around the island: Kyrenia Fortress, St. Hilarion Castle, Bellapais Abbey, the ancient city of Salamis, St. Nicholas Cathedral in Famagusta, visiting shops, the beach, and, of course, visiting the residential complex of the Russian quarter.
This complex cannot leave anyone indifferent. When you walk around the territory of the complex, it does not immediately come to the understanding that its residents live in this beauty all the time. This is an incredible place. There is no better place for children: swimming pools, water parks, playgrounds. And there are plenty of activities for adults. The territory of the complex is thought out to the smallest detail. Very close by is a beach more than 5 kilometers long with pedestrian and bicycle paths. You can write a lot about this place, but it is better to see it with your own eyes by ordering a viewing tour with the company.
The result of visiting the residential complex was the purchase of a 1 + 1 apartment in a building under construction on credit, which the developer kindly provided us.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to Olga and Ilya for their support and help in all matters. They are amazing people. Special thanks to Olga. We felt very comfortable with her, it is very easy and interesting to communicate with Olya.
